WLA Everett Speaker Meeting

Thursday, June 27th | 6-9pm

Speaker: James Rankin of Volunteers of America.

Topic: Mr. Rankin will be discussing the Fair Housing Laws, including the laws surrounding companion & service animals.

Even if it's your best intentions not to discriminate against any protected classes, it could still happen by accident. It could be from an ad you post or any rental criteria you gave your prospective tenants or even denying a tenant's reasonable request for accommodation. Example: Forbidding a tenant from having a service animal because of a no pet policy or charging a pet fee for a service animal. These are considered violations of the Fair Housing Laws and it could land you in trouble. The best way to protect yourself is through education! So come to the meeting on June 27th and bring any questions you have!

Venue: Everett PUD | Address: 2320 California St. Everett, WA 98201

The meeting will be held in the TC2-BC room - Located on the 2nd floor of the PUD building. It was originally scheduled to be held on the first floor in the commission room, but we had to switch rooms. All other meeting details will remain the same.
