Our tenant screening company, the National Tenant Network (NTN) is discontinuing the Statewide Criminal search on June 1st. For criminal reports, only the Nationwide Criminal aka Multistate will be offered.
NTN has found that there are too many applicants coming from outside of Oregon and Washington and are worried that things could be missed. The Multistate Criminal search covers Oregon, Washington, and most of the United States. It also includes a Sex Offender search.
This makes the Multistate criminal search a much better value for you.
At WLA, we have updated our rental application forms and Tenant Screening Reports List and removed the Statewide Criminal Report as an option.
